Worldspan Group Environmental Policy
Worldspan International plc is a full service agency, which provides integrated solutions to its corporate client base, including the management of conferences, incentive travel programmes and other corporate events; motivation, communication and staff & customer engagement programmes; and marketing services including creative multimedia design and brand identity.
The senior management of Worldspan International plc is committed to its environmental responsibilities and has established a structured Environmental Management System, which sets objectives and targets to measure our performance. Our main objectives for improvement include:
- Reduction of energy consumption
- Reduction of CO2 emissions
- Reduction and recycling of solid waste
Our Environmental Management System supports us in meeting the following:
- A firm commitment to environmental responsibility and the ongoing development of sustainable solutions to control and minimise our negative environmental impacts on the environment.
- As a minimum to meet the requirements of environmental legislation and other commitments to which we subscribe, and wherever feasible to exceed those requirements.
- To prevent pollution and to plan and have provisions in place for the effective handling of any foreseeable abnormal or emergency situations.
- To ensure that all of our employees have the skills, knowledge and resources necessary to support our environmental responsibilities and commitments. To minimise and properly manage waste, including reuse and recycling where feasible.
- Significant resources including raw materials, consumables, energy and water will be controlled, monitored and efforts towards resource use reduction and efficient use will be sustained.
- To carry out regular checks and reviews including an annual full review to ensure that the environmental management system remains effective. We aim to continuously improve our environmental performance through the support and involvement of all employees and any other interested parties.
- Significant suppliers and contractors will be assessed for their commitment to the environment with regard to meeting our policy commitments.
- To communicate our policy and ethics to our clients and suppliers and to encourage external awareness of environmental responsibility, wherever possible.
This policy is presented to all staff directly and is available to all interested parties on request and displayed within our company website.
