Objectives

Ricoh UK runs several travel incentive programmes every year for its dealers. For 2011, the company wanted to run three tiers of incentives for different dealership categories, from the biggest and bestselling ones through to the smaller independent operators that perform well but, because of their scale, don’t deliver the largest turnover. Ricoh asked us to develop three programmes – Ichiban Club Gold, Silver & Bronze – with a brief to source a casino resort for Ichiban Gold.

Our Response

We project managed the Ichiban Gold incentive event from start to finish. We selected a two-centre destination: Hong Kong for culture and Macao for the casino experience. The event incorporated unique aspects of the locations and a highlight was projecting the names of the top-achieving dealers onto a Hong Kong skyscraper.

The Result

We delivered a bespoke event for Ricoh UK that met its specific objectives and rewarded its top-performing dealers with exciting and unique experiences, from a private performance by Cirque du Soleil to a bespoke party to celebrate the Royal Wedding (which took place during the trip). A senior executive at Ricoh UK said he’d received “a deluge of thank-you emails” and thanked us “for everything you did to make a special event very special”.
