Objectives

Social commerce specialist Bazaarvoice – who enable the world’s biggest brands to capture, analyse, and most importantly, act upon social data - to drive true, customer-centric change, chose Worldspan Group to deliver its Social Commerce Summit 2011. The fact that Bazaarvoice is a fast growing, innovative company at the forefront of its market place meant that they needed an events partner to match this, as well as offering innovative ways to promote the event and manage it meticulously. The objective of the event was to showcase their products, engage with current and potential clients and also have the correct platform to launch their exciting re-brand.

Our Response

We used innovative, cutting-edge technology to deliver the event in London, including digital signage and live Twitter feeds during the summit and QR codes on badges for guests to download information about each other’s companies. We managed online registration and payments, looked after speakers and sponsors and created a spectacular after party at Amber.

The Result

Feedback from guests was abundant and positive: someone who attended the seminar on customer intelligence and trends said it “easily falls into the top three” of events he had been to. Others said the summit was “brilliant” and “inspiring”. The calibre and status of speakers and the superlative production values helped Bazaarvoice reach its objective in positioning itself as a brand that is slick and sophisticated. The next Social Commerce Summit will be in Texas in 2012.
