AMEE

Objectives

AMEE is a worldwide association which helps teachers, doctors, administrators, assessors, curriculum developers and students keep up to date with developments in medicine and the healthcare professions. AMEE holds an annual conference in a European city – attracting over 2,000 delegates – and called in Worldspan Group Events when the scale of the congress became too large to manage internally. The Association asked us to oversee delegate management and to add value to the AMEE exhibition.

Our Response

We managed delegates across the globe using an online registration system, taking care of visa applications, travel plans, badges and delegate packs. We also helped exhibitors with branding, building their stands and ordering equipment. Additionally we managed a team of students to assist on site, and worked within the constraints of a tight budget.

The Result

The number of paying delegates rose to 2800, and we increased exhibition space revenues by 40%. Delegate feedback was overwhelmingly positive regarding both the online and on-site registration process. AMEE was so pleased with the result that it has contracted us to manage delegates and source locations, venues and accommodation for its next three conferences. AMEE 2012 will take place in Lyon and it is proposed that 2013 will be in Prague and 2014 in Milan.
